Etihad Airways is aggressively continuing its recruitment drive as it expands operations into India before year-end as a direct result of the Jet Airways alliance, which was unveiled on September 20.
The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has announced that it has already received more than 1,000 applications from men and women looking to join the airline’s cabin crew division, with separate drives held in Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.
The three tier cities in India saw nearly 200 applicants successfully recruited who will be trained as cabin crew in advance of the airline’s operational expansion in India in December 2013.
And the hiring hasn’t stopped, stated the carrier.
Richard Hill, Etihad Airways’ Chief Operations Officer, said: “India will play an increasingly central part in the expansion of Etihad Airways and we are delighted that so many men and women are keen to join our ranks as members of cabin crew.
Any applicants interested in joining Etihad can apply via its website, with new cabin crew members undergoing a six-week training programme in Abu Dhabi, which includes all aspects of cabin safety and service delivery.
